What is the PSAT?
So is the PSAT a practice SAT? Yes and no. The PSAT does not have an essay section, but all in all, the test follows the same format the SAT does; subject matter may vary. Unlike the SAT, the PSAT is not seen by colleges and is only used to determine whether a student qualifies for National Merit. Doing well on the PSAT is just as important as doing well on the SAT, the PSAT is used as a qualifying test for various scholarships. Like the SAT, the PSAT can be the difference between going to college for free or paying yearly tuition. Which do you prefer?
